Delete your Plan2Ship account
You can delete your Plan2Ship account yourself at any time, on the website or in the Windows or Android app. Deleting it cannot be undone.
How to delete your account
- Sign in at app.plan2ship.com, or open the Windows or Android app.
- Open Settings, then Account.
- Under Delete account, choose Delete account…, type your email address to confirm, and choose Delete my account.
If you are the only owner of a project that other people are in, hand it over first: make one of them an owner on the project's Project settings page, or delete the project.
Cannot sign in any more? Write to privacy@plan2ship.com from the email address your Plan2Ship account has, and I will delete the account for you. A project you owned alone with others in it then passes to its member with the highest role.
Either way, you get an email confirming that the account has been deleted. If you would like a copy of your data first, choose Download my data on the same Settings page.
What is deleted
- Your account and every way you sign in: your name, email address, the ids of the Google, Microsoft or GitHub accounts you sign in with, your profile picture and the names you used before.
- Your place in every project, your task assignments and the tasks you watch.
- Your notifications, your personal sprint and task group templates and your plan.
- Your Gemini key and this month's count of Gemini requests.
- Your Google Calendar connection, with the calendar Plan2Ship made in your Google account.
- Projects only you are in, with everything in them.
This happens straight away.
What is kept
- Your messages and comments in projects others are in stay, shown as from a former member, because they are part of the team's work. Mentions of you in them become "@Former member".
- Hours you logged stay in the project's totals, with no name attached.
- Invitations you sent that have not been answered stay open for the project, no longer naming you.
- Your name on whiteboard comments stays, because it is part of the whiteboard itself, which the server cannot read or change.
- Backups still hold your data until they expire, after 14 days. If one is restored in that time, your account is deleted again.
- A record of the deletion, your user id and the time only, with no name or email address, is kept permanently so that a restored backup cannot bring the account back.
- Server logs, which name people by user id, not by name or email address, are kept for 30 days.
- Emails you sent me (access requests, feedback, reports) are kept as long as needed to deal with them, at most until the end of the third year after the last contact.
