Terms of service
Last updated: 23 October 2026 · Deutsche Fassung
These terms govern the use of Plan2Ship: the planner at app.plan2ship.com, the desktop app for Windows and the Android app.
1. Provider and scope
The provider is Vladislav Förster, Markgrafenstr. 74, 81827 Munich, Germany, email: support@plan2ship.com ("I"). Further details are in the legal notice.
These terms apply to everyone who uses Plan2Ship, whether as a consumer or as a business (sections 13 and 14 of the German Civil Code, BGB). A user's own terms do not apply, even if I do not expressly object to them.
How I handle personal data is described in the privacy notice. It is not part of these terms.
2. What Plan2Ship provides
Plan2Ship is a tool for planning game projects: tasks on boards, milestones and sprints, a calendar and timeline, a design document, whiteboards, messages on tasks, and metrics. Several people can work on a project together.
I keep developing Plan2Ship. Features may change, be added or be removed, as far as this is reasonable for you and the core of the service, planning projects together, remains.
I aim for uninterrupted operation but do not promise any particular availability. The service may be briefly unavailable for updates and maintenance; where possible I schedule these for quiet times. Outages caused by circumstances outside my responsibility (such as problems at the hosting provider, with email delivery, at Google or another sign-in provider, or on the internet) are not a breach of contract.
The database is backed up daily. The backups are for recovering from an outage, not for restoring individual content that you or your team deleted. Keep your own copy of anything important as well; Plan2Ship offers exports for this (section 11).
3. Account
You sign in in one of the ways the sign-in page offers: with a Google account, with a code Plan2Ship sends to your email address or, where offered, with a Microsoft or GitHub account. You can add further ways to your account in Settings. Your first sign-in concludes the contract for using Plan2Ship under these terms. I may restrict new accounts to people who were invited or approved. No one is entitled to an account or to any particular way of signing in. If I stop offering a way of signing in, I announce this in good time, so you can add another one to your account before it goes.
You must be at least 16 years old. Each account belongs to one person; you may not let others use it. Protect access to the accounts and the mailbox you sign in with and to your devices, and sign out when you use someone else's device. If you suspect someone else is using your account, write to me straight away.
The name other members see need not be your real name, but it must not pretend to be someone else.
4. Plans and limits
Every account has a plan (currently Free, Pro, Pro+ and Studio). The plan sets how many projects you can create, how much storage each project has, how many people may edit in your projects, how many Gemini requests you can make per month and which features are included. The app shows what your plan currently includes under Settings → Plan. A project follows the plan of the person it counts against; at first that is whoever created it.
Using Plan2Ship is currently free of charge. I assign plans other than Free individually. Before a plan costs money, supplementary terms with its price, term, cancellation and information on the right of withdrawal will apply to it and be shown to you before you order. Without such an order you incur no costs.
I may change what the plans include. I announce a reduction at least four weeks in advance by email or in the app. If a plan becomes smaller or you move to a smaller one, nothing is deleted: members stay, stored content stays, and calendar sync pauses. Only what exceeds the new limits is refused, such as another project or another picture.
5. Projects, roles and members
Whoever creates a project is its owner. Members have one of four roles: Owner, Maintainer, Contributor or Viewer. The app shows what each role may do. Owners decide whom to invite and with which role, and are responsible for being allowed to share the content they make available to others.
All members of a project, viewers included, see its content, the names, email addresses and roles of the other members and who currently has which task or whiteboard open. Invite only people you want to show this to.
If a member leaves a project or deletes their account, what they contributed to the project stays in it; their messages are then shown as from a former member. Projects belong to the team, not to the individual. A project always needs at least one owner; the only owner of a project with other members must first hand over the role or delete the project before deleting their account.
If you use Plan2Ship for a company or studio and store data about your employees or customers in it, you are the controller of that data under data protection law.
6. Your content
What you enter or upload in Plan2Ship remains yours. You grant me only the simple, non-transferable rights I need to provide the service: to store and back up the content, to convert it technically (such as resizing pictures and removing their metadata), to show it to you and the project's members, and to send it to the services in section 8 when you or a member trigger this. These rights end once the content is deleted, apart from backups until they expire. I do not use your content for advertising, do not sell it and do not have AI models trained on it.
You confirm that you hold the rights to your content that this requires and that the content does not breach section 7. If third parties bring claims against me because of your content as a result of your culpable breach of these terms, you indemnify me against them, including the reasonable costs of legal defence.
7. What is not allowed
You may not use Plan2Ship to
- store or share unlawful content, in particular content that infringes copyright, trade marks or personality rights, is a criminal offence, glorifies violence, incites hatred or endangers minors;
- harass, threaten or spy on others;
- spread malware, or use Plan2Ship to store files that have nothing to do with project work;
- circumvent security measures, access other people's projects or accounts, overload the service or query it automatically other than through the app's own features;
- circumvent plan limits, for instance with several accounts for one person;
- copy Plan2Ship or resell it as a service of your own.
8. Services of other providers
Some features use services of other providers: signing in with Google, Microsoft or GitHub, calendar sync and Gemini from Google, and importing from Figma and from Miro. These services are additionally governed by their providers' terms, which you accept there. I have no influence over whether they remain available or change their interfaces, and may discontinue a feature if a provider forces this.
If you save your own Gemini API key, Google bills the requests to you directly, under Google's terms for your key; with an unpaid key, those terms allow Google to use the text sent to improve its products. Gemini's answers are machine-generated suggestions. They may be wrong or incomplete; check them before you adopt them.
9. Reporting illegal content, and moderation
Projects are not public. I do not look at your content unless this is necessary to examine a report, to fix a fault, at your request or because the law requires it.
Reporting: Anyone who considers content in Plan2Ship unlawful or a breach of these terms can report it to support@plan2ship.com (Article 16 DSA); Report content explains how. The report should state: why the content is unlawful, exactly where it can be found (project, task, section or whiteboard, ideally with the address from the app), the name and email address of the person reporting, and a statement that the information is accurate and complete to the best of their knowledge. For certain offences against children no name is required. I confirm receipt, examine the report promptly, diligently and objectively, and tell the person reporting what I decided. I do not use automated decision-making for this.
Measures: If content is unlawful or breaches section 7, I may block or remove it, restrict a feature, or suspend an account temporarily or permanently. I choose the mildest measure that is sufficient, taking into account how serious and how frequent the breach was, whether it was deliberate, and the rights and interests of everyone involved. Anyone who repeatedly posts manifestly unlawful content or sends manifestly unfounded reports may be suspended for a reasonable period after a prior warning.
Reasons and complaints: If I block or remove something, I tell the person affected, with a statement of reasons (Article 17 DSA): what is affected, which facts and which rule I rely on, and how they can challenge it. You can object to the decision within six months by email to support@plan2ship.com; I then review it again and reverse it if it proves unfounded. You may go to court at any time.
10. Liability
I am liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for damage arising from injury to life, body or health, under the German Product Liability Act, for defects fraudulently concealed, and where I have given a guarantee.
As long as you use Plan2Ship free of charge, I am not liable beyond this (compare sections 521 and 599 BGB).
On a paid plan, for slight negligence I am liable only for breach of material contractual obligations, meaning obligations whose fulfilment makes proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely, and limited to the damage typical for the contract and foreseeable when it was concluded.
For loss of data, unless caused by intent or gross negligence, I am liable only to the extent that would have arisen had you backed up regularly (section 11). These limitations also apply to people I engage to provide the service.
11. Term, termination and your data afterwards
The contract runs for an indefinite period. You can end it at any time by deleting your account under Settings → Account or by writing to me. I can terminate it by email with four weeks' notice; on a paid plan, at the earliest at the end of the period paid for.
Either side's right to terminate without notice for good cause remains unaffected. Good cause for me is in particular a serious breach of section 7, or one repeated despite a warning. If the service as a whole is to be discontinued, I will announce this at least three months in advance.
Before you leave or a contract ends, you can save your data: Settings → Account → Download my data provides what the server stores about you; the design document can be exported as PDF or Word, and a whiteboard as an image or PDF. After the end, your account and the projects nobody else is in are deleted, as the privacy notice describes; backups expire after 14 days. Projects with other members remain for them (section 5). If I terminate, my notice points out the exports.
12. Changes to these terms
I may change these terms if the law, case law or the service changes, for instance through new features or paid plans. I notify you of changes at least six weeks before they take effect, by email or in the app, with the changed text and a note on your rights.
Until they take effect you can object or terminate the contract without notice and at no cost. If you do not object and keep using Plan2Ship after they take effect, the changed terms apply; the notification points this out. If you object, the previous terms continue to apply, and I may terminate the contract under section 11. Changes that materially shift the balance between service and consideration, such as a new price, apply only with your express consent.
13. Final provisions
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory provisions of the country where you habitually reside.
If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from this contract is Munich.
Should any provision of these terms be invalid, the rest remain valid; the statutory provision takes the place of the invalid one.
These terms exist in German and in English. In case of any discrepancy, the German version prevails.
